Design & Construction Phase

Build off reality.
Not assumptions.

Traditional manual measurement introduces errors that snowball into massive change orders during construction. Discover how point cloud data and Scan-to-BIM documentation compresses schedules and protects your budget.

Stop Paying for Assumptions.

In design and construction, uncertainty is your largest hidden expense. Traditional site documentation leaves critical blind spots that inevitably lead to mismeasured fixtures, reactive change orders, and eroded profit margins. Form Perspectives replaces job site guesswork with high-fidelity, verifiable spatial data. By leveraging advanced Planix R1 reality capture, we bridge the gap between physical site conditions and your CAD/BIM workflows—creating a single, precise source of truth from initial design through final handover.

360° panoramic + LiDAR, virtual tour, scan-to-BIM
⚠️
High Change Order Risk

Industry data shows change orders average 10-15% of contract value. Manual measurement errors (±1-3") and missing documentation are leading causes.

Reduced Change Order Risk

LiDAR accuracy of ±0.1-0.9 in for visible surfaces eliminates measurement errors. Note: Hidden conditions behind walls still require investigation.

Common Questions

Design & Construction FAQs

What software formats do your CAD/BIM exports support?
Our deliverables are highly compatible. We provide standard DWG and DXF files that map cleanly into AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and Chief Architect.
Can you detect plumbing or wiring behind walls?
No. LiDAR relies on line-of-sight capture. We map everything visible within the space with incredible precision, including exposed MEP. However, hidden conditions behind drywall still require physical discovery.
When is the best time in the project lifecycle to scan?
For remodeling and Tenant Improvements, the most critical scan is during the Pre-Design phase to create the as-built baseline. For massive projects, a second scan post-demolition is often utilized before rough-ins begin.
How does this reduce change orders?
A majority of TI change orders stem from dimensional errors on the original plans (e.g., custom millwork ordered based on an assumed 10-foot wall that is actually 9'10"). Our data ensures the design is built on reality, not assumptions.
